A very actionable framework on how to better clarify your brand messaging and communication.
It’s a marketing framework based on what the movie industry uses to tell stories.
We are busy animals, with busy minds and only stories, good stories, catch our attention.
The message through the book is very clear and with good examples which I plan on applying it to several brands.
It’s probably my longest book summary, meaning there’s a lot of important and actionable content.
Here we go:
Stories have heroes. And the hero of the story is your customer, not you. Not your brand: “Your customer should be the hero of the story , not your brand . This is the secret every phenomenally successful business understands”.
Likes don’t pay the bills and: “pretty websites don’t sell things . Words sell things . And if we haven’t clarified our message , our customers won’t listen”. “What we often call marketing is really just clutter and confusion sprayed all over our websites , e — mails , and commercials . And it’s costing us millions”
