The Living Proof Challenge: My Journey to Better Physical and Mental Health
I’ve always believed that what gets measured gets improved, and as an engineer, I like to measure and track everything — sometimes even things that are a little odd to admit!
Yet, for some reason, I hadn’t fully applied this principle to my health until recently. Sure, I’d get regular bloodwork done once or twice a year, track my weight, body fat, resting heart rate, and physical activities. But I never had a structured approach to truly track my progress over time in a way that would help me prioritize what I needed to focus on.
That all changed when I stumbled upon an article by Samuel Gil on the Living Proof Challenge — a health and wellness framework created by Simon Hill. Something about Samuel’s deep dive into the program lit a spark in me. His description wasn’t just theoretical; it was practical, measurable, and adaptable to everyday life. It felt like exactly what I needed. This was for me.
The core idea? Track your health, not just passively, but with intention, and make changes based on what you find.
So, I jumped in.
